Friendly, efficient restaurant in the heart of Murano, with plenty of space inside and a large paved area at the back – I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a garden, but it’s pleasant, and likely to be even more so when the overhead vines are in leaf.
Cooking is basic but good. Excellent prosciutto comes in huge quantities; there’s a good range of pasta, and if you have five people willing to agree on a primo piatto you can try the fish risotto, which is reputedly wonderful.
The fish is particularly recommended here, being absolutely fresh – varieties depend on what has been caught that day. There are other local specialities on the menu (baccala(creamed cod), sarde in saor (sardines with delicious sweet/sour onions and raisins) and good local wines – the raboso frizzante is particularly recommended.
There’s also a small selection of pizze, and a fairly standard range of (commercial) puddings. Inexpensive.
