Cuisine Type: Italian
A relaxing atmosphere during the day is created by the halogen lights which accentuate the interior’s inherent darkness, coupled with readily available newspapers and inoffensive coffee-table jazz on the music system.
The food is reliably excellent, from the flavoury home-baked bread to the main courses which, as the name suggests, are largely of (modern) Italian origin. It isn’t the cheapest place in Dublin to eat a pasta, but it can lay claim to being amongst the best.
At night, especially at weekends, booking is essential, as the tiny interior gets packed out with tourists and returnees alike. An excellent choice.
