The bad news is that Da Crecola, the restaurant that used to occupy these premises, is no more – after years of providing wonderful food and even better value, the husband and wife team who ran it have retired.
We visited Il Réfolo just a week after it opened and found a very different atmosphere – no less friendly, but definitely more up-market and chic. Now really a bar / pizzeria rather than a full restaurant, the prices have also changed.
The pizze we had were good but not spectacular, but this was early days and the young and enthusiastic manager has ambitious plans for the site. We’ll report back on developments. Medium price.
