Situated at the top end of this lovely Campo, which as its name suggests still hosts Rome's best flower market, La Carbonara is something of an institution.
The service is a bit Roman (ie. there isn't much) but the food is good, though not spectacular. We found out too late that we should have tried their penne alla carbonara (we should have guessed really) - we hear it's spectacular.
Those in the know try for a table in the airy and spacious rooms upstairs, with a great view of the Campo. Mid price.
